Are you getting ready to move? We know such times can be stressful. That’s why we’ve created this handy moving checklist to ease your moving woes! There are many small items to consider when you’re moving, and having a handy tool like this to guide you through the process can be invaluable. People need to consider turning off utilities at the old residence, and turning them on at the new residence. Will you need to have electricity, water, and internet up to the last day, and ready to go at the new place? This list includes these considerations and more.
>From two months before the move to moving day and beyond, Garrett’s Moving and Storage has you covered. Moving your belongings from point A to point B is just one part of the moving puzzle. It’s important to consider how to handle disposal of hazardous materials from the old home. Do you have firearms? Consider how you want to transport these to your new home. If you’re travelling across state lines, you may need to contact a dealer with a federal fire arms license to ship them for you. What about pets? We’ll need to have doors open for extended periods during the move, so you need to consider where pets will be kept so that they safe, and cared for with food, water, and temperature control to keep them from getting too cold or too hot. Small children might also require special attention, so it may be valuable to take the little ones to Grandma’s house for a day or two!
